Electrão operates in the area of extended producer responsibility, assuming the responsibility of providing an environmental management service of excellence to its members, committing to the collection and correct forwarding for recycling of used electrical equipment.

In Portugal, we are the main producer responsability organization for waste electrical equipment with 60% of market share.

2022 continued to be a year of growth and of strengthening the relationship we have with our Members, which increased by about 9% over the previous year.

We make the trust that our producers place in us worthwhile and we assume the commitment to correctly treat the electrical equipment they put on the market.

Campaigns with adherents

Electrão Empresas was the starting point to another initiative, in partnership with Samsung, called “Recycling gives smiles”. A campaign to collect used batteries, used lamps and used electrical equipment, which envolves the population and Samsung's Specialized Technical Centers. In the end of each year, the amount collected will revert into a support for ONGs.
